KVERT reported that during 7-14 May seismic activity from Karymsky was above background levels, suggesting that possible ash plumes rose to altitudes of 2-4.6 km (6,600-15,100 ft) a.s.l.
Satellite imagery revealed a thermal anomaly over the volcano during 8 and 11-13 May.
The Aviation Color Code level remained at Orange.
