Belíssima foto do astro-rei, registrado nesta manhã de terça-feira, 01 de setembro de 2015, a partir do Observatório Apolo11 em Vila mariana, São Paulo.

A cena mostra duas interessantes feições encontradas no disco solar no dia de hoje.

A primeira e mais evidente é a pequena proeminência vista no limbo noroeste da estrela, uma labareda de gás aquecido a 10 mil kelvin e que atinge mais de 18 mil km de altura.

A segunda feição é a zona escura vista próxima à borda solar. Trata-se da região ativa 2407, que em algumas horas sumirá da face solar.

Embora a imagem mostrada apresente dois tons diferentes de cores, na realidade trata-se dois registros monocromáticos feitos no comprimento de onda h-alpha, sendo um registro da superfície solar e outro de sua borda. Posteriormente, as cenas individuais foram mescladas e colorizados com matizes diferentes, o que permite destacar diferentes regiões da estrela em uma única apresentação.

The scene shows two interesting features found in the solar disc in the day.

The first and most obvious is the small prominence seen in northwestern star edge, a gas flame heated to 10.000 kelvin and reaches more than 18.000 kilometers high.

The second feature is the dark area close of the solar edge. It is the Active Regin AR2407, which will disappears of solar face within a few hours.

Although the displayed image shows two different shades of color, in fact it is two monochrome shots made in the H-alpha wavelength, one of the solar surface and one of its edge. Subsequently, the individual scenes were merged and colorized in two different shades, allowing highlight different regions of the star in a unique presentation.
